December EO Update

Virtual EO Meeting Dates & Summit Date Change

The dates have been set for the 2019 virtual EO meetings on April 16th at 11 AM and November 26th at 11 AM!  More details to come--please begin thinking of topics that would interest you and email them to Joan (jolson@wisbuild.org).

Due to a scheduling conflict, the date of the 2019 EO Summit has been changed to Wednesday, September 11th-Thursday, September 12th at the Perlstein Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Re-mark your calendars!

Prospective Member Followup

AKA “CC Me, Pretty Please!” Since our website’s relaunch in March, we have garnered over 60 prospective member requests, and are excited to continue being active in member recruitment. We are tracking what becomes of the members who reach out to us via our form online, so, please, be sure to CC or BCC Samantha (slong@wisbuild.org) back when you respond to the prospect so we can mark down precisely when the exchange was completed! This is helping us build up data about the process, and how to tweak it for improvements. Thank you!

Do You Have Members in Government?

Per the request of the WBA Advocacy Group, the WBA has begun compiling a list of WBA members currently holding elected or appointed positions in local or state government. A survey was sent out to the membership last month, and we’ve gotten off to a good start. Review this link, and let us know if there’s any additional members you know of that we should add.

NAHB WMS Year-End Submissions

We would all probably agree that the NAHB WMS is archaic and needs a fresh look and a more user-friendly interface, but it is what we have to work with for now, and it is very important to make sure your final WMS input of the year accurately reflects your membership numbers as the December year-to-date report is used as the basis for 2019 comparisons.

As a reminder, the WBA’s only access to membership numbers is through the WMS, and it is necessary to have accurate membership numbers for budgeting purposes as well as other important decisions at the state level.  We also use it to send out New Member packets, and it is very discouraging when the packet comes back with a wrong address!  Please take some time to go over your membership roster as it appears in the WMS and a big thank-you to those locals who update the WMS on a regular basis.  2019, here we come!

MABA Sponsors Install Dinner, Sponsorships Remain

Special thanks to the Madison Area Builders Association for their dinner sponsorship at the 2019 President's Installation Dinner on Friday, February 8th. Sponsorships are still available. Click here to learn more!
